This hinged box was given as a gift to a collector of playing card decks. The lid displays face cards, aces and jokers in a frame made from moulding that has images of hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades on its face. I then used that same moulding turned on its side to construct a box deep enough to store several decks of cards. The interior was lined with suede fabric and a contrasting color of suede covers the bottom of the box.

New visitors admiring the amazing art in my shop always ask if I am the artist. My reply is that although everything is created locally, I am just “the framer”, which is a very simplistic title for the service I provide my customers. A fellow framer, Chris Chewning, has very thoughtfully and eloquently written what that title really means. Thank you, Chris!
Hey art & frame lovers…Due to the winter storm forecast, there is a possibility that Corners Frameshop & Gallery may be closed Friday or Saturday. Please call to be sure we are here before coming to the shop during the next two days. Stay safe & be careful!
