Remember the grass roots “Ribbons of Hope” art project from 2014? At this month’s First Friday art Event, Katherine Moore-Freeman of the Northern Arts Council will guide participants in the creation of a community art project by showing us how to make kanzashi flowers with the Ribbons. The completed pieces will be on display this summer at the Metro North Transit Center. During the evening, members of the community are also invited to participate in a collaborative project to be submitted as an entry in #ThisIsMyFerguson, a special art exhibit planned for August. Come to Corners Frameshop & Gallery tomorrow, May 4th, from 5 till 8 pm. We will create, shop, enjoy artful conversation, and nosh on Cinco de Mayo themed refreshments! Hope to see you tomorrow evening!
